Temat: MIDI Sustain Command
...I'm concentrating more on playing live than programming my music. My computer just went bad, I formatted the shitbox and everything worked fine - for one hour. One more minute with the computer and I would've beat it VERY bad :). Suddenly it just wouldn't recognize my USB units. And that includes my keyboard/mouse reciever, my flashdrive and my Digidesign M-Box. So now I haven't been able to do nothing music related for two weeks now. All I have is my old Roland E-500 now, and an really old DS-8 synth from korg. Really rocks, but I miss my VSTi-s!!!! Have fun learning about the midi stuff!

Temat: Searching for nice buttons?
...of the frontpanel before I am pleased... I do them by hand - isnt into the CAD stuff... Anyway - I'm building the SID box (4 sids) in a 1U 19" rack box, and I figured, the common buttons I see on the midiboxes (I'm refering to the "radio" buttons) isn't what I wanted, so I searched the web to find some I like, without any luck. I know - says more about me than the wide range of buttons to choose from in all the nice webshops :) hehe. So I got this brilliant idea. I have a Roland E-500 keyboard I bought when it was released. And it has got some NICE buttons on it. But I didn't want to canabalize that fine keyboard I spent 2000 dollars on back then, so I called Roland's department here in Norway. They told me I could get any buttons I wanted from their instruments... I just had to call the service-shop in Oslo and talk to a guy. I did, and it wasn't expensive either! Just a tip... If you like the buttons on the cool synth besides you and you want...

Temat: Controller question
...know a better way to describe it... maybe heavy metal and techno (or something similar) together. Only difference from Rammstein is that we play christian music :P My problem is that I need "wheels" to control the filters in the synth plugins (or added vst/dx effects). I have one Radium64 controller keyboard. And that has got two seperate wheels for pitch and modulation. My problem is that I haven't got enough of them. Usually I use the Radium64 and a Roland E-500 I bought 8 years ago together on gigs. Sometimes I use a Korg DS-8 I got for free together with a ZoomPlayer2020 to play some awesome guitarsolos that just can't be played on a guitar :P. My point... The Roland and the Korg has got joysticks instead of wheels... So I can't leave the modulation controller in a position and then leave it that way without programming it in Cubase instead of using the joysticks. So I was thinking... I need a controller...

Temat: Patch / controller program... (questions)
I'm not really sure where to put this post, but I gather this is a good place since it's software related - at least I think :P. I will try to make this as short as possible. My equipment is: - Roland E-500 keyboard - Korg DS-8 (i think the name is ds-8 - or at least ds - something - I always forget that one... :P) - An old Steinberg paralell midi-interface I got almost for free - A homemade rackPC with SB Live 5.1 digital (for using soundfonts) - Almost-ready MBSID with 4 SIDs. - ZoomPlayer 2020 guitar DSP. - An old yamaha sound module On gigs: - Masterkeyboard:
